today, I am going to start to test two new clays, which we dig-out, take-out during our summer travels around Czech...both should survive high temperature, the black one seems to be more plactic and is going to be probably more white...Looing forward to see what our nature offered this time Just clay and water...

I like how you can easily see the clays difference in texture even in the pictures. What are you planning to do with them?

Thanks David. It still somehow does not work properly so I just put there shorter version

Wisdom says that I should start with some test_tiles and maybe small cups...but eagerness tempts me to try teapot with cups around...so probably both.

Otherwise, if you need to pinpoint to a long website address, I found a good trick: use the URL button in the advanced editing section (Éditeur avancé -- I don't know if it appears in English or anything else at your place...).

For example, say you wanted to link to your Ten Gems on your picasa album. The link would be this: https://picasaweb.google.com/1182362173 ... Ten_Kilns# and will probably not show right.

So instead, click on the URL button, which will give you an HTML code like this: [ url ][/ url ] (without the spaces of course). Then, either put your link between the two parts of the code ([ url ]put your link here[/ url ])to get something like this: https://picasaweb.google.com/118236217383388152705/Ten_Gems_of_Ten_Kilns# or add a = symbol inside the code, add your link and a description of what you are linking in the middle (like so: [ url= put your link here ]This is my link[ /url ] again without the spaces). It will give you something like this: This is my link

I just start to work on blog post about new natural clays about which I was talking here last time. First pieces from those clays are fired...

The ligher one with nuka glaze is from that black clay, shino yunomie is made from the yellow clay.

I love the red/orange/dark blue/light blue contrast of the cup with the nuka glaze! And the glaze stripes look fantastic on the mate clay.

I am not so far with these experiments here. I made mostly glazed pieces, just to see if and how those clays work on wheel, in fire, with glazes and so on...So far, in these "touchstones", both clays succeed so next time we will hopefully know more about the clay/tea responses...
